Dave Wilson

Dave Wilson died May 24, 2025. He was 77.

As one of the Big 3 he was a co-founder of the AmaChron Members Division in 1962.

He graduated from Palo Duro High School in Amarillo in 1965.

Being an excellent skater Dave spent many hours at the Playmore Roller Rink.

Dave was drafted on his birthday in 1967 and served in Viet Nam where he was wounded and received a Purple Heart.

He was also awarded a Bronze Medal for Valor for his bravery in that battle.

He was an excellent cook earning the name "Chef-Boy-Our Dave" in 1971.

Dave was a member of the IATSE Local 463 stagehand crew at the Amarillo Civic Center working concerts and rock shows for many years.

He worked various jobs in Amarillo before being hired by The U S Post Office in 1975 where he spent 35 years at the GMF on Ross St.

He married Patricia Morris in 1975. Dave had 5 children and several grandchildren.

Dave also worked with AmaChron the Entertainers where he did 162 dances (1970-1992).

After meeting his old friend, Kay, Dave moved to Ranger, TX where they were married in 2014.

David Lee Wilson will be greatly missed by all..
